You're just trying to move those goal posts. You said that every other Arab state treats their women better. Evidence proved otherwise.
You posted the numbers so I explained what is behind the numbers in some of these cases. There's a difference between the population within the state and the state itself.
Is evil when the state tries to correct older medieval style awful laws and do better step by step, or when the state does nothing to address violent social behaviour?
Both are bad but I would consider the latter as the lesser of the two evils, literally. Anyway the countries you mentioned don't have the money and resources Saudi Arabia has. If they had them and would still be below Saudi Arabia in the combined table there would be a good reason to consider these countries as more evil than Saudi Arabia.

Well, he's a pro's pro, people came to see him play, he's not just going to no-show
And they did watch him play vs Sinner, you don't make much sense - if they paid him to play 2 matches he could have returned them the money or asked not to get paid in full after losing to Jannick, it was only worth it if he had made the final

Lol how tf would you know what's "worth" to him? He obviously loves to play otherwise he'd be retired years ago

There wasn't really any denial from Federer and Nadal.

After his injury at AO 2020, Federer underwent double knee surgery, and a year later, the year he turned 40, he gave it a try, quickly convinced it was over, and retired at Wimbledon 2021 after a dozen matches.

Nadal is somewhat comparable: after Wimbledon 2022 and 2023 aborted, he tried in 2024 and saw it was over.

Djokovic is still at a competitive level this year, given the current tour; his ranking confirms it, and he won another tournament this year.

Now, compare that with the length of Murray's denial from mid-2017 to 2024.
He was earning money in the doubles circuit so I dont blame him. He thought he could be the third Bryan Brothers.

Saudi Arabia is evil but at least they haven't been committing genocide. Stones, glass houses...
Yemen begs to differ.

Both have faced terror attacks for years. When you a rotten tree gets uprooted, chips are being splashed. I would agree Israel has been way too aggressive in the last few months of the war, but the gap between that and a genocide is still big. Murdering around 1500 civilians in cold blood has consequences.

Cuz it's pretty obvious that he cares about his health and pulls out of many big tournaments to have better scheduling so he can prolong his career as long as possible, duh

Obv he loves to play but he rarely plays any match with not much history on the line if he isn't 100% healthy, or even more so injured/semi-injured

Changing the racquet specs won't help him return Sinner's serves (or others). A lot of his decline is physical/aging and it's reflected in his reflexes and movement.
That's Exactly why.

According to the Gross podcast, he's not using a racquet & specs up to date w/ the current level players & hypothetically a big reason for decrease in rally tolerance & increase in UE's.

You mean to say that he retired in an exhibition before?
No, it was not a comment either way on that.

The post i was replying to was talking about whether Djokovic is contemplating career retirement, and saying he had not been managing to complete matches in good health......as below...
he says he won’t retire, but he hasn’t played a single match to completion in good health

I was not being serious, and just referring to match from many years ago when he did complete the match while still in good health.

The more serious side to his recent statements, is that he anticipates, and suggests he has insider knowledge on, a big change to professional tennis.

It's an exo not a real tournament, and for sure he knew the chances to win it all were slim to none, if he didn't think he could handle two exo matches he wouldn't have been there in the first place.

I as suggested he has played at least one single match to completing in good health
Factually incorrect, though agree much is still left to be done.
Yes, "Pretty much" is rather vague, but, although yes, improving, it can be quite bad compared to most neighbours.

Consider driving.

For example, women got the right to drive in both Saudi and UAE in 2018 i believe. at least before Qatar in 2020, but not great compared to neighbouring Oman in 1970.

I recall friends from Oman who needed to drive to through UAE to get to from the main part of Oman to the most remote part, had to ensure the woman was not driving and make other adjustments even before being in sight of the border, and always said that in the past, Saudi was even worse in practice.

Edit:
Despite Oman being behind Saudi in the list you referenced, it is hard to see why when comparing the societies in reality. Note that in Oman they even have quotas for female representation in government, and women have been ministers. Spend time and mix with real people in these countries, and the experience does not match what is on that list.

While in Yemen women were never officially prohibited, it was pretty rare prior to late 1980s, and Jordan never seemed to ban women driving.

Despite Iran getting stricter, women could always drive, although in practice they are effectively banned from riding motorcycles.

The other nearly as strict neighbour is Kuwait who lifted their ban in 2014, and that I think completes all direct neighbours and leaves them close to the bottom, and definitely with a long way still to go.
