Only thing missing is a serve which far more easy to get than Baseline weapons. And Sinner Is far superior at off both wings than Alcaraz)
Sinner only lost the top ranking because of his 3-month ban, losing the opportunity to win thousands of points in Doha, IW, Miami, Monte Carlo, Madrid. This thread is also a reminder of the remarkable transformation Sinner had under Darren Cahill. He had his fans who believed he would get to number 1. There were people like myself who thought he could get one or two majors.
The good news for Sinner is that he can improve even further. At the time that's what I thought, he needed some more fire in his belly and improve aspects in his game. And under Cahill, he did.
Now he needs to implement the transition game on more occasions during matches. To get out of the baseline only pattern. Sort out his serve problems and he is capable of getting back to number 1 within twelve months.
I came here specifically to see a poster asterisking Alcaraz's #1 spot. Well, actually I was cleaning 5 or so spambots, but MTF never lets me down.Sinner only lost the top ranking because of his 3-month ban, losing the opportunity to win thousands of points in Doha, IW, Miami, Monte Carlo, Madrid.
Did I say asterisked? No. I didn’t. You did.I came here specifically to see a poster asterisking Alcaraz's #1 spot. Well, actually I was cleaning 5 or so spambots, but MTF never lets me down.
Dishonest? How so? Was someone else besides him responsible for it? Same as with Djokovic in 2022, he was the architect of his own lack of results.Did I say asterisked? No. I didn’t. You did.
But when talking about the 2025 season, it would be dishonest to ignore Sinner’s ban.
Bullshit. Djokovic did nothing wrong in 2022. He was deported over a choice he made for his own body that had no impact on anybody else.Dishonest? How so? Was someone else besides him responsible for it? Same as with Djokovic in 2022, he was the architect of his own lack of results.
Same record playing, different year. Never change. 🤣Bullshit. Djokovic did nothing wrong in 2022. He was deported over a choice he made for his own body that had no impact on anybody else.
As for Sinner, he hired a physio. Big whoop.
We simply disagree on an issue of covid vaccination mandates and you insist on acting like an arseclown about it.Same record playing, different year. Never change. 🤣
This switch up was disgusting, hopefully you get your common sense back one day.Lol what a ridiculous statement. Name me single Grand Slam or Masters 1000 title for Sinner. Done? I thought so. He has never won any. While Alcaraz won 2 Masters 1000 and 1 Grand Slam so far already. And he's 2 years younger!
Sinner will never win Grand Slam at this rate. Perhaps few Masters 1000 titles are possible, but Grand Slam? Nah sorry.
He saw the clear and honest truth as told in the Aesop Fable: slow and steady wins the race. This switch up was disgusting, hopefully you get your common sense back one day.
Ur probably a lost cause unfortunately. He saw the clear and honest truth as told in the Aesop Fable: slow and steady wins the race.
Why do you bring up my comments from late 2022 or early 2023? These are long invalid and forgotten. This switch up was disgusting, hopefully you get your common sense back one day.

Alcaraz 90% winning percentage this season, same number of GS trophies (2), 3 M1000, 4-1 H2HSinner only lost the top ranking because of his 3-month ban, losing the opportunity to win thousands of points in Doha, IW, Miami, Monte Carlo, Madrid.
Never disputed his season record. But Sinner had a good chance to defend Miami + nab a few more points, which meant he would still be No. 1 right now.Alcaraz 90% winning percentage this season, same number of GS trophies, 3 M1000, 4-1 H2H
Sinner 88%, 2 GS, 0 M1000
Alcaraz has played more and won more. He's the better player this season by any measure
"The key difference" being the only measure favoring Sinner LOL. The rest is CLEARLY for Alcaraz, and Sinner's season outside the slams is simply weak and marked by the superiority of Carlos H2H. He took two majors and two M1000 off of him. Earned his #1 by owning the #1.Never disputed his season record. But Sinner had a good chance to defend Miami + nab a few more points, which meant he would still be No. 1 right now.
The key difference is the slams. Sinner performed better than Alcaraz by reaching the finals of all four.
You can take the shitty, auraless clown slams (USO/RG) with chimpanzees and hyenas for crowds and I'll take the patrician, higher status, higher IQ crowds at the prestigious and well catered venues (AO/Wimbledon) any day. AO being the only true hard court surface and Wimbledon being the crown jewel of tennis."The key difference" being the only measure favoring Sinner LOL. And again, the ban is Sinner's responsability.
You're literally making his point though. He has played THREE tournaments outside of slams this year...Sinner's season outside the slams is simply weak
You're seething so hard you are gonna get hurt in the ass even worse than you are already. I was gonna ask you how does it feel to be Carlos's little bitch's fanboy, but I don't think I need to ask after this post. It's gonna be a long journey for you. You bet on the wrong horse and your ass is gonna pay for it. And I'm enjoy enjoy every bit of it, so thanks for this message. You can take the shitty, auraless clown slams (USO/RG) with chimpanzees and hyenas for crowds and I'll take the patrician, higher status, higher IQ crowds at the prestigious and well catered venues (AO/Wimbledon) any day. It's funny because I remember when Alcabubus were bitching constantly about the H2H as if it somehow entitled Baldie to the top spot despite Sinner having performed better in 2024. Now they bitch at me for mentioning Sinner's ban when they couldn't stop talking about it 12 months ago. LMAO.
You know, there is this thing called REALITY, where a doper got banned and doesn't get to obtain any imaginary ATP points over it, as much as you would like to act like they robbed a cheater of something he was surely gonna get. You might not like it, but it is what it is. Undefeated when not banned for doping is not a thing. You're literally making his point though. He has played THREE tournaments outside of slams this year...
I can't believe this is something to even argue over (and it's not even shade at Carlos who fully deserves #1 for his run since May). But IW + Miami (HIGHLY likely he would have defended it based on this year's overall results) + minimum 2 clay events missed (say min 500 + 1000 at Madrid), Sinner would for sure be #1 at this given point in time. Whether he would still stay #1 for YEC even in this hypothetical timeline is much less clear though, given the amount of points he is defending.
How do you know Alcaraz would not have nabbed more points too had Sinner played? He did admit his ban had affected his mindset as well (less motivation).Never disputed his season record. But Sinner had a good chance to defend Miami + nab a few more points, which meant he would still be No. 1 right now.
