Not really.. Alcaraz can't play true indoor fast paced HC tennis. He's never been good at it (I dont think we can count the US Open since the Stadium is so large anyways roof or no roof. I dont think a roof even matters on that place does it?). And Zverev is.... Well Zverev

No, absolutely not. This Cup seems completely meaningless to those players. Nobody will ever say I won 3 GS titles, 6 Masters 1000, Olympic bronze und 2 Laver Cups.
I wouldnt be surprised if De Minaur would say such things. Altough most of those trophies are still missing for him. And probably will still be missing as he retires.

I'll never forget ADM for the rest of my life, because Rogie won his last career singles title over him 6-2 6-2 (2019 Basel, career singles title #103)!!

Not really surprised.
On paper, Team Europe had the lion's share of the higher ranked players compared to Team World.

However, what really got Team World over the line in this edition (and especially with that 8-0 whopping on Day 2) was the influence of my top 2 all-time favourite players in
Agassi :worship: and Rafter  on the Team World players. You could see the passion, enthusiasm and positive energy that Agassi in particular was bringing out on the court, Rafter did a great job as well although he was more laidback about things, there was great camaraderie and a support network established amongst all of the Team World players. Huge kudos to Fritz and De Minaur for carrying their team to victory.

As for Team Europe, that same support network wasn't there, it was pretty much mostly resting on Alcaraz to carry the team through, Alcaraz could not lose any of his matches, he lost in straights to Fritz on Day 2 and Team Europe was doomed. Ruud did a decent job, Rune and Zverev were disappointing to say the least.

All in all, the only reason I actually bothered watching Laver Cup this year was due to Agassi and Rafter reuniting as captain and vice captain for Team World, glad I tuned in :)

Yes, b/c of the margins of some of the matches. De Minaur thumping Sascha and Fritz over Alcaraz specifically. Rune was disappointing.

Oh that's right the MTF "tennis experts" are at it again. Alcaraz can't play tennis. I forgot about that. You guys know it all. Keep typing! Can you type better with or without a roof? Zverev has a roof or two more than I bet many of y'all do.. Sinner's trainer roofied him. Carry on oh soothsayers of MTF!

That poster is in so much ruins these days, it's impossible not to giggle at their wisdom-full rants. Between Alcaraz not able to play tennis and an obsession about Sinner's serve, there's plenty of fish in that tank.
