Q: Tarpishev said that your chances against Argentinians are not that good, what do you think about it and what is your history of playing them?

A: I beat Gaudio twice on hardcourts. I lost to Nalbandyan at Wimbledon 2003. And I haven't played against others. But judging by their results they've been keeping being in an amazingly great form in last couple of years. And when they say that out of 120 best players in the world 47 have nandrolone in their blood, I think that all Argentinian team is in that list. Why am I so sure? Great traditions - Coria was caught, Puerta was caught twice, Chela was caught as well. So I have something against them. We are in the same business, and it is not nice when you are being cheated. At the same time it is not my business, let those who are supposed to deal with doping think about that. My job is to win.

The new title is much more eye-catching. ;)

I never understood the need to claim that someone, even a 'disliked' opponent, is drugged. As if that would do anything.

I borrowed this from the "Tennis Fool school of thought" ;)

The words underneathe it are translating the "random characters". I put them there in case somebody here is able to read it.

Well he'll either come out laughing his ass off or will have a really bad case of foot-in-mouth disease

Yes Becca thanks I know it's not English lol but it's not anything else either. If it's another language I must not have the character set installed on my comp so it just looks like jibbrish and it's funny that's all.

Hey bunk, right click on the "jibberish" text, choose "encoding" and then chose cryllic(windows) that will change the text from those odd characters to what they are suppose to look like

I agree, jazz.
They should get him for slander at least, and at most, pound his puny ass to dust on the court....

Re: Voltchkov on team Argentina: They're all drugged! All of them! Every last one! Drugs!

It's a very bad idea to point fingers on these matters. People start noticing "interesting" things about the person/country who makes them.

Any player from any country COULD be on drugs, sadly, but there's no reason to assume that anyone in particular is.

Re: Voltchkov on team Argentina: They're all drugged! All of them! Every last one! Drugs!

Just the same, making the assumption invites so much criticism and so many hard feelings. Why just let the tennis do the talking. Chela, Coria, and Puerta have paid/are paying for their mistakes, so why bring it up again.

sorry, I may not have been clear. I meant it's a bad idea for Voltchkov (or anyone else) to point fingers. Pointing fingers at people for pointing fingers is fine!

Re: Voltchkov on team Argentina: They're all drugged! All of them! Every last one! Drugs!

I was fond of Voltchkov before reading this. Now I'm a little dissapointed.

But, seeing as I don't speak the language, it's impossible for me to know what context this was said in, when exactly it was done (after the tie obviously, but was it right after his last match? A day later?), or even what the rest of the interview says. I tried translating it on a translation site, but couldn't get it to work.
