So im having a discussion with someone right now whos telling me that tennis doesnt need much concentration like diving, running, gymnastics and field events. My point to her was basically that different sport need different tympes of concentration such as sustained concentration(tennis), short bursts of concentration (golf, field events) and intense concentration (skiing, running).
In tennis ur actually playing against an opponent and umust perform well throughout most of the match to win it. (unless ur opponent is ranked way below u) Once u start losing concentration for a short while even , u have a bigger chance of losing the set. Losing one big point is not easily forgotten and u cant just go on to the next point like its a different story. At least thats what players are trying to do.
I dont follow diving or skiing but she follows neither so any help would be appreciated from those of you who might know soomething.
And if u have u can add any reliable sources that would be great
