Med and all other Russians have already committed to Almaty the week of Six Kings. In fact, quite a few Top 20 players have agreements with 250s held that week.
Med, Khachanov and Bublik in Almaty. Ruud has a three-year contract with Stockholm. Paul is also already announced at Stockholm. FAA plays Brussels.

Maybe Nadal comes out of retirement — he's Saudi ambassador after all 😛

Shelton most likely, because of his ranking, his slam record (2 SF and 2 QF) he won a Master, and he’s young.

if they’re racist, potentially De Minaur but he has never reached a slam SF and he isn’t that young anymore (I think they’re doing three old guard and three young guard).

if they’re racist but have artistic taste, Musetti. Musetti also has a better slam record than De Minaur (and he’s young).

So in sum:

1) Shelton
2) if not Shelton, Musetti.

Is having made a slam SF the prerequisite?
De Minaur surely has a more accomplished career than Musetti with his two titles from 2 or 3 years back.

Yawn at the racism card.

they released the 'draw'

Zverev vs Fritz - Winner faces Alcaraz
Sinner vs Tsitsipas - Winner faces Djokovic

Alcaraz getting a bye like Nadal did instead of the defending champion :eek2:
Alcaraz bye is not the problem. Problem is the bye fro Novak over Jannik. Disgusting

I don't know whether he actually has the right to withdraw from this crap, which exists only to whitewash the Saudi government's crimes, without upsetting the ATP. But if I were him I'd make sure to lose the match against Tsitsipas.

Very disrespectful. Jannik should withdraw from this crap.
well, I think they chose Alcaraz and Joker getting a bye based on the most slam titles, technically. Just like last year with Joker and Nadal. Hence, they deserve to get a bye, indeed.

Gonna be a great event!
Exactly. People nowadays hate tennis so much they no longer just enjoy the bloody game. All about records and stats and official categories, points. Where is the purity?

With this amount of stubborness many fail to see this is called a Slam, not a Grand Slam. 😁

Make sense, what a great event

Zverev vs Fritz is even but Sinner vs Tsitsipas is the only one that might be lop-sided

Yes, sometimes tennis is not about records and stats and points

Sometimes it is about stone cold cash! 💵💵💵💵💵

Winner of the event gets $6M

That is potentially for 2 matches

$3M per match!

Some players play a whole career and don't make that!

Scratch that, 99%+ of tennis players in the history of the game didn't make that in their career

Now you can make it in one freaking match

Love this tournament
