No words...

Vacherot jumps 146 places to a career best #58 in the live rankings

Djokovic with plenty of antics and theatre and only 9 winners in the entire match.

Glorious result for Vacherot! Lowest-ranked player to ever reach a Master's final. Up to #58 in the live ranking. Could be a matchup against his cousin Rinderknech in the final, should the latter beat Medvedev.

Yup... if you're calling for the trainer early in the first set & don't feel up for it then just belt your groundies then.

He can do it as he's done it before instead of moping about & just flinging it back.

More talented player win

Better player on the day won. It sucks, but it's true.
To be fair I was really surprised by how well the Monégasque served and played from the baseline. Keeping such a high level throughout the entire match, not typical for players outside the top 100. Well earned final spot.

I just hope Medvedev can handle his part of the draw because a Masters final between two unseeded players cousins will be too much.

Vacherot was that Monte Carlo Wildcard where people always thought that he is only allowed to play because he is from Monaco, but has absolutely no business playing in a Masters 1000.

Vacherot has to be the most blessed person out there...born in Monaco, plays tennis and now has this insane run out of nowhere.

May I remind you, Vacherot was ranked lower than Wawrinka in both the Rankings and Race until this tournament.

Cousins final on the way

Djokovic started looking gingerly and hampered but did improve in second set but gave away the penultimate break in set 2 with a DF (multiple in that game). Vacherot kept his nerve today to seal the match.

WOW! What a story! Fully deserved. Played incredibly well, broke Djokovic right back in the second game and didn't flinch until the last game when he had to save a BP, which he did with great hitting.

Faker... Next year, please play in Hollywood only. At 4-4 40-30 he was putting his hands to his ears. Well put them now again! What a great athlete and what a douchebag as a person.
