Like I said, his draw was too tough, beating Hanfmann, Bergs, Munar and Vacherot proved to be too tall of an order that not even a player like Djokovic could accomplish. I said if he achieved this, he would be the GOAT. Alas, not my GOAT.

I think next year should be Djokovic's last, but it has nothing to do with this match. This year showed us even Djokovic's current best isn't enough to win Slams against Sinner and Alcaraz and it's a difficult task to win a Masters title even in their absence. So he should take care of his priorities and chase what he can still chase: one additional hard court title (even an ATP 250 title will do) to break the tie with Federer and the match wins records at the Australian Open and Wimbledon - if he can play half as well at next year's Australian Open and Wimbledon as he did this year he'll either equal these records or break them.
