I'm sure Carlos had his popcorn at the ready and watched that classic showdown btwn Gauff and Kostyuk last night. Gauff won with 17W/51UE, Kostyuk had 56UEs, multiple meltdowns, tears, constantly berating herself, screaming at her box, racquet smashing/throwing, no one could hold serve, or serve out the set, or hit a winner to save her life...absolute shitfest that only WTA can produce. No wonder he couldn't name a single WTA player.

I don't mind him not watching WTA.
But I just think he's has low IQ outside of Tennis, he could've just said' I watch wta when I was
in the gym area they play on TV, could've just said any name and it would've been fine.
We can't our future King of ATP being a dumb dumb. Let his professional team work on this.
Don't worry, they will polish his image in such a way that soon people will tell you he is the smartest guy ever...;)

Do you have a point? Attempting to mock my very sensible point only makes you look stupid. It is a statement of fact that there are many amazing WTA players with lots of experience. A tennis player who is serious about their craft should be watching men AND women and learning from everybody, not just watching the top men.
I like women's tennis, but I struggle to think of anything he can find to help in a women's match that he can't find in a men's match. Men tend to play a much more tactical game than women and can hit any shot that a woman can. He is also watching his potential opponents so he can learn potential weaknesses to exploit and things like that. This is something he could never get from a women's match.

Could you imagine talking your friend into watching Coco for the first time and that is the match they tune in to? They would probably never want to even attempt to watch tennis again at that point..

Lol. I think Djokovic actually answered not the exact question but he said he watched the tiebreaker between Rybakina and Blinkova he said it is one of the most exciting tiebreaker. Great answer imo. ;)
It's well known fact that Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic are die hard fans of WTA. They are always watching even low ranked players.

This was not cute. There are so many amazing players on the WTA tour, and he could learn something from watching them. The idea that high-level tennis can only be found on the men's side is so dumb. In fact, I would rather watch the average WTA match than the average ATP match. On average, a match between the world no. 41 and the world no. 75 on the WTA side would be more interesting than a match between the world no. 41 and the world no. 75 on the ATP side.
Not really, also at the lower echelons of the women's tour there are far more service breaks, which is not really just serve-dependant: women are far weaker mentally (on average) than men, so they often cannot keep break leads or just cannot hold serve even if they should.

I actually watched the 3rd set of the match, but only for the following 2 reasons:
1. I wanted to make sure I'm not missing any point from the Djokovic-Fritz match that followed.
2. I hoped me watching would make Coco composed so she can finally send her juvenile opponent out of the tournament, which fortunately happened in the end. After the super-tiebreaker the Kazakh angel lost in the 2nd round, only a Coco-Sabalenka SF can be something positive for me to take on the women's side in this tournament.

No big deal. Even Serena Williams said that women's tennis and men's tennis are two completely different sports. Alcaraz is watching other players to study them and to scout them.

The guy probably trains 4+ hours per day, has to eat, rest, etc. I doubt he's just sitting around watching hours of women's tennis, that don't really impact him.
And yet a lady called Court has been placed alongside Djokovic with 24 GS no matter that 'it's a different sport"......

What can Alcaraz learn from watching WTA? Thats just absolutely ridiculous thing to say I dont remember reading anything so stupid ever before
