Gonna be interesting to see how the organizers can sell this one. Promo movie team are in for a bonus. You would think it's either AdM or Musetti...? The two next in line rankingswise behind Shelton and Draper. AdM #8 and Musetti #9. Both are also US Open QFists. So who knows what the call will be. I guess Musetti would bring a bit more flair, but not exactly a surface tailor made for his game so not an easy choice for the organizers. Could either one make the matches close... Maybe AdM would be the better pick in this regard. Gonna guess him. Guys like Rune or Medvedev from last year's edition are stinking up the place right now.

edit. Now that I've seen USATP's post, if Shelton is healthy it's a no-brainer.

 

If 6KS becomes something like ATP Finals but only counting slam points this is the race for the 6th spot. Musetti has as many points as Fritz but Fritz is American #1 and had a Final when the roster was announced.

Tokyo 500 is slated to run September 24-30. Six King Slam dates are October 15, 16, 18.

Shelton is listed to play Tokyo which comes before 6KS. Why would he return to active play sooner for a lower paying event only to then skip the much higher paying gig that occurs even later?

Either he skips both or neither.

Just because Shelton skipped Davis Cup & Laver Cup doesn't mean 6KS isn't an option.

If you didn't want to put him in the poll, just say that.

My personal prediction is that we'll find out in the promo, to be specific there will be a sequence where Alcaraz whacks a forehand that end up knocking out the crown from Sinner (very allegorical), the crown is sent flying into a different space and a peasant ADM who is working on the fields sees it land and right as he is about to pick it up, Shelton who is dressed as an orc invades with his horde and slices Adm into 2, before letting out a primal vamos and stealing the crown.

Pls comment on this plot, if it seems popular I will sell it to the Saudis in exchange for oil.

 

Shelton/Musetti is my best guess. But who would I prefer the most? Definitely Med.

 

If I was Draper, I would just show up injured, although our finances are likely quite different.

But the Saudis are also misogynistic while also promoting harems, I think @Johnny Groove will not pass up the chance for six million (yes you heard that right, Sincaraz won't stand a chance) bucks + harems on the side.

I am sure the Saudis and I can come to a reasonable agreement on the money and the women required for payment

I couldn't care less about this lousy exhibition but Shelphone having so many Grand Slam points this year has a lot to do with his big draw luck at the Slams.

 

Without Madrid Ruud would be #28. Outside Madrid his year has been as bad as Tsitsipas's.
