Alcaraz was phenomenal, brilliant shot-making from him and very few errors. Good to see him maintain his focus and play such a good final game after failing to convert multiple MPs in the previous return game.

I still have a very small concern about his ankle - he winced in pain in the closing stages of the match after sprinting to the BH side to pull off an incredible volley (video clip below). Hopefully, it's nothing.

Nakashima would easily be a top 5 player in the Big 3 era and probably win a couple of slams. Yet here in the era of King Carlitos, there is simply no contest. It is astounding how easy he makes the game look.
Do u believe magic is real?

This level is seriously incredible, He just clobbers every ball like it's nothing and then switches to drop shots and perfect volleys on a dime, coupled with a sweet serve, lightning speed and defensive prowess, he truly is the big 3 in 1 when he's at his best. This guy has an extra level I haven't seen before... Not sure if the ATP is quite ready for Peak Alcaraz if he can hold this level for 5-10 years.

Del po had a more powerful forehand but was injury prone, and didnt have the movement or the variety.
Lol, JMDP beat peak Fed when he was going for the USO record 6 years before Novak beat him at the same venue.

Nobody can definitively know if Karl could do the same at 20 y.o. The competition was vastly different then & yes, very few 6'6" players can 'move' like speedy Spaniard but del Potro had plenty of 'variety' or he doesn't win that title.

God I hate I missed this match. It was at 2:30 am here. I needed sleep.
Let's hope the highlights are extended enough.

How many wins do you think Alcaraz will end up this season? I think 83 is the max possible wins (see breakdown below) if he wins the titles in Tokyo, Shanghai, Paris, and the ATP Finals. I am excluding the Davis Cup Finals because I don't know if he is confirmed to play in them.

I think at least 10 more wins for 75 total is definitely reachable if Alcaraz stays healthy with a realistic chance at 80 wins. My final guess is 78 wins for 2025 to tie Murray's 2016 season.

Tokyo - 2 more possible wins
Shanghai - 6 possible wins (2024 - 3 wins)
Paris - 5 possible wins (2024 - 1 win)
ATP Finals - 5 possible wins (2024 - 1 win)

He was playing Nakashima. LOL. Relax
His level is rising more and more from clay season and he is nearly unplayable from Cincinnati so this is not only Nakashima... wtf u talking about? he obviously will lose matches and will have bad tournaments and months but overall he is reaching his peak and this is more scary than carrotbot.

The winners in the HL are just ridiculous. Some of the FH missiles had the crowd gasping, and seeing the stats they could easily have made another reel. His peak level at the moment is head and shoulders above everyone else's.
