The all purpose challenger tour happenings - thread

I thought about creating this because there are lots of good happenings every week that are not perhaps a thread worth on their own. I have seen quite a few users that follow CH tour regularly notice something funny and post those on the "Live commentatory thread". But those get lost there quite easily if there is some ATP activity happening.

So anything that happens. Doesnt have to be much. Horrible linecall or Jay Clarke's massive 2nd serve. Anything goes.

Dont have to make GIFs or anything.

I remember one time someone smashed his racquet and then realized it was his only one. Ended up asking his opponent if he could borrow him one :ROFLMAO: Anyone remember what match was that?

I would really appreciate if you could post here and there. I will be using this to ask my stupid questions that are not worth creating a new thread.

The faster the court, the better the swiss players.

Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes:
R1: Brunold d. Engel 64 64
Stricker d. Rodesch 64 76
Bernet d. Misolic (see separate thread)

Now we get in R2:
Stricker vs. Fearnley (1)

The Norwegian regroups and takes out Sachko and his weird service motion.

PCB lost to Karol after serving for the match, and missing 2 MP in the TB. :spit:

Hassan #1 seed in Fairfield, lost to Ilagan after being 4-1 up in the third.

LOL what is going on this week.
Finally a good performance from the bespectacled Slovak though. I was expecting him to be ranked way higher at the end of the season.

Bar Biryukov randomly takes out Coleman Wong in Jinan. Zhou over Hijikata. Tomic into the QFs as well!

Jinan QFs:

[1] Cazaux v [WC] Zhou
Tomic v [7] Mochizuki
Smith v [Q] Bar Biryukov
[6] McDonald v Holt

Vacherot may have broken to the Top 100 but I wonder if he's at least finishing his planned schedule for this season and finish in some Challengers...Alex Eala in the women's side have been playing many WTA 125s for example even when she's already in the Top 70 possibly to not shock her to the main tour schedule for the next season and Vacherot may try to do the same too maybe.

Squire clinches the victory against Nagal just in time in Valencia, as it started pouring buckets. A massive roar at the end of it.

Another retirement for Jordan Thompson in Roanne. Horrible season for him. He's fallen a long way since being seeded at the AO at the beginning of the year. He's not going to be able to defend his Paris QF points (ranking too low to get into qualies) so he's likely to drop out of the top 100 by year's end. He's got to be hoping for a good start to the season in Oz next year.

Passaro has parted with his childhood coach - he had been working with him since he was 8 (for 16 years).

About time I have to say - he deserves to get back to the Top100.

Deserves? If he improves his level, maybe.
