The all purpose challenger tour happenings - thread

I thought about creating this because there are lots of good happenings every week that are not perhaps a thread worth on their own. I have seen quite a few users that follow CH tour regularly notice something funny and post those on the "Live commentatory thread". But those get lost there quite easily if there is some ATP activity happening.

So anything that happens. Doesnt have to be much. Horrible linecall or Jay Clarke's massive 2nd serve. Anything goes.

Dont have to make GIFs or anything.

I remember one time someone smashed his racquet and then realized it was his only one. Ended up asking his opponent if he could borrow him one

Anyone remember what match was that?

I would really appreciate if you could post here and there. I will be using this to ask my stupid questions that are not worth creating a new thread.

Mikrut is playing stunning. Watched the first set against Montagud, ok not the greatest opposition but his serve is on point and he hits so cleanly, I think he made 2 UE. Very impressed, with the draw he has he might end up in the final.

Finally a good performance from the bespectacled Slovak though. I was expecting him to be ranked way higher at the end of the season.

Vacherot may have broken to the Top 100 but I wonder if he's at least finishing his planned schedule for this season and finish in some Challengers...Alex Eala in the women's side have been playing many WTA 125s for example even when she's already in the Top 70 possibly to not shock her to the main tour schedule for the next season and Vacherot may try to do the same too maybe.

Another retirement for Jordan Thompson in Roanne. Horrible season for him. He's fallen a long way since being seeded at the AO at the beginning of the year. He's not going to be able to defend his Paris QF points (ranking too low to get into qualies) so he's likely to drop out of the top 100 by year's end. He's got to be hoping for a good start to the season in Oz next year.

Tickets seem around 35eur/day for the upcoming Helsinki 75 CH. Could be tough to attract new fans!

Mo Ye Cong saved SIX match pts to defeat Vasami, a couple of these on Vasami's serve which is rather good. These are first experiences for Jacopo on HCs, really had trouble with the ROS. Clay grip too probably not helping, one of the MPs on his serve was a sunk FH in the net from service line.
