He still in doubt for US open

Fritz,Zverev & Draper are the 3 new bloods this time around.

Anybody wanna guess what sort of 'theme' each player will have if they do a similar type promo like they did with the 6 players last year eg Nadal 'Clay Golem' Djokovic 'Alpha Wolf'... Rune 'Viking'... 'Medvedev bear'

They'll be sort of hard to market because some of them are kind of non-descript if you know what I mean.

Draper in a top hat with monocle 😂

Speculating will be fun & interesting.

I don't know about the individuals per se but I'll hazard a guess and probably say that Fritz's theme location will be with a landmark set in California where he's from... or New York... Something to drive home the sole US competitor this year.

For Draper... they might not go with Wimbledon or the courts but perhaps something at a historic London landmark.

Zverev? I really couldn't care & whoever comes up with a good one for him will have thought well outside the box.

I see Zverev as Marilyn Manson 🤣🤩

Just what I said! Fritz is on the list. I don't know why you never read my posts correctly. I said that despite being on the list, I doubt Fritz or others from top 6 will really play Basel or Vienna.
Alcaraz was on the list for 2024 too until it was definitive that he plays Rihad.

Fritz perhaps as Captain America, or a Hollywood star. Although I'm puzzled by the face scribble theme. Fritz = an Island Boy:

...or any other random American Gen Z rapper.

If they let AI (especially Musk's Grok) do the heavy lifting, Zverev:

Alternatively, drawing on the Nibelungenlied with the hero Siegfried who killed a dragon:

...or a teutonic knight:

But as said not sure what the scribble theme is hinting at. Makes me think of some movies dealing with paranoia, obsession and mental disarray.

Very good!

Maybe they will go with the 'Hollywood' theme since Fritz does his modeling gigs on the side and maybe Draper on a horse like a knight with the Union Jack shield representing the UK .... or just the St George's flag going into battle for England during Medieval times.

I posted the NAMES that confirmed for Basel.
Don't care about Fritz
Non of the top players need Basel points for Turin.
Stop whinning about S Arabia exho.

You are just a disrespectful person and someone try to ignore on this forum.

I visit Swiss Indoors since 25 years, since I am a little child, and believe it or not, there are still people out there who like tennis and watch tennis, unironically and without trolling all the time.

Riyah is a big competition for our tournament and Vienna and usually it will end up by not having those players either in Basel or Vienna.

What is so hard to understand?

Unfassbare erbärmliche und zu tiefst unwürdige, degradierende Reaktion!

Its not big competition to your tournament.Sinneraz, let alone Novak WILL NOT PLAY 3 WEEKS in a raw at the end of gruelung season.
Novak played once Basel/Vienna since 2011,because he was all in on paris/Turin.
They will only play Basel if your tournament will pay them seven figures fee!!!!

Not quite sure why you're stating that it's three weeks in a row (unless you're including six kings slam). Vienna/Basel and Paris together are just two weeks. Shanghai ends 8 days prior to them, and the ATP finals starts a week after Paris.

So what? Other players couldn't care less about Paris. Nadal played it merely nine times, Federer played it only once after 2015. Even Sinner skipped Paris last year.

Note that the tour schedule, in general, has also changed quite a bit since 2011. Basel/Vienna have only been played in the same week since 2016. Before that there was Valencia in parallel to Basel. In 2016 Vienna was upgraded to a 500 and put in parallel to Basel (which was a 500 since 2009).

Either way, Vienna's latest list of winners is pretty strong for a 500 - Draper, Sinner, Medvedev, Zverev, Rublev, Thiem. In 2023 #3, #4 and #5 all played there, in 2022 #4 and #5. Last year Sinner and Medvedev withdrew due to the six kings slam.
Basel of course has only been played three times since Covid, but before that Federer played it many times. In 2022 Alcaraz as world #1 and Ruud as #3 played there, Rune as #6 in 2023. Last year Alcaraz withdrew due to the six kings slam.

This year, the six kings slam takes the TOP SIX players in the world, and if it wasn't happening surely some of them would have played in Basel/Vienna.

My bad, still Basel,Paris,WTF is stupid because its end of a loooooong gruelung season.
Most of the top players running on fumes in Fall season.
Imagine playing Us open ,Beijing,Shanghai,Basel Paris,Turin.
No reason to do that for sake of meaningless 500 points.

Well i agree that it is a hard finish to a season but all these venues (except USO and Shanghai that are way earlier) will be played in one week. There are players that like indoor conditions which are quite rare and why not? Not everybody is creme de la creme and can choose which tournaments he wins as it is the case with Sinner - and Carlos in spring/Summer - nowadays. The others might it consider a 500 great tournament that is good in itself and that is preparation for Paris and the Finals. That goes for a lot of players. And for a lot of Top players a tournament win at 500 level is something. They are not serial winners after all and they do not just play for the money. It is stupid to just see it that way. Some have so much money that they want to reach something and that they want to be remembered and titles - even the medium ones - help in this regard.

That said, i think Basel is good in so far as tennis is in the center of it more than in Vienna and maybe in Paris Masters. The atmosphere is great, there is not that much of stupid techno-/partymusic in changeovers and so on. It is not a party, it is a serious tennis competition.

If you do not agree - your problem. Six Kings Slam has an impact on Basel and Vienna for sure. But i believe those who lose early at the 6 kings might play there; not Sinner, not Alcaraz of course, but mabye 3 of the others. And that is important for them and for tennis.
