The cousins Vacherot and Rinderknech will face off in the final. What a beautiful story near the end of the season. Vacherot was in tears at this reuslt and came onto the court to celebrate.

Medvedev deserved to win this. He had his chances on quite a few return games but couldn't convert. Rinderknech wasn't outstanding, in my opinion, and an in-form Medvedev would have cruised.

Medvedev was entirely unserious on the Rinderknech MPs. On the first MP, he went all in with his second serve and saved MP. On the second MP, he tried the same and produced a DF. GSM.

Absolutely pathetic stuff from Medvedev after MP. He should have been courteous and made this Rinderknech's moment. Instead he decided to pick an entirely unnecessary fight with the umpire. Very poor stuff, but it's Medvedev after all.

Everybody's a nobody until they're somebody.

Hard to be dismissive of someone who has worked hard to become a Top 30 player. Rindy is not without weapons and he utilized serve & volley well against Mehvedev who served the most double faults in the tournament. Denial started strong, per usual then faded & used transparent tantrums to pull focus from the reality of his mercurial tennis form. Leyhani brushed off brusque accusations both times. No need to explain yourself to a poor loser.

Very deserved win, as Rindernech was super clutch on BP's, while Medvedev melted when he had to face MP's, fluked out a 207 kmh serve on the line in the first one and then double faulted in the second one.

Something should be done to Medvedev pointing fingers to umpires really. This is ugly to see.

Bitch & moan the most of them.

Alcaraz vs Sinner Part Whatever this year and they go 'Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the tour is hopeless,it's the same guys'

Unheralded player vs Unheralded player and they go 'Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the state of this & that why isn't it status quo like above'

Whichever result .... they moan & complain.

A bit like Zverev.

Anytime they win a couple of random matches they state that had a rough time, but finally things are sorted.
To just lose the following match. 🙊

Incredible final. Cousins affair and fingers crossed for Vacherot side of the dynasty 😆

Daniil really had a punchers chance to qualify for the ATP finals if he won his semi's & final here.

Wasted... that's all I can say.. He and Rublev will mostly it seems now miss out on the event for the first time in 6-7 years.

The person that really must feel sick about all this is De Minaur.

He'd be cursing his luck Daniil got it together from start to finish against him & never lost his serve & held firm whilst Daniil pouts & goes kamikaze against Rinderknech... De Minaur's chance to win this event went begging.

Congrats Rinderknech & Vacherot and one of them now finds themselves $1 million or so richer on Sunday & a Masters Series champion as well... + a higher rankings boost.

The stuff that dreams are made of.

Woke up early on a Saturday morning to see if Grinderknish could make the final a family affair. He did so with better serving & excellent net play. His rise in level can really be traced back to the grass swing especially at Drag Queen's. Noticed it against Shelton & Fritz. Now a Top 30 player & 2nd highest Frenchman behind Humbert.

Mevedead tried to resurrect his former level complete with aspic antics that have long since lost their flavorful sense of campy humor. My favorite part of his sour shenanigans in the 2nd & 3rd sets was how no one cared. Not the umpire, Leyhani, not the camerapersons, not the commentators, not the opponent, nor the crowd. These tedious tantrums are best left to his toddler. It's over.

The story of the match was always the potentiality of the cousins facing off in the final. Mehvedead-end was a less compelling narrative compared to Author.

This is genuinely one of the best stories of the year I have to say

When was the last time we had a family facing another family in the final of a masters and above final in the men’s side?

Women’s game we had Venus but men’s? Since McEnroe days? It’s been long time.

By the way I have to say I was really impressed with the way Rinderknech played tennis. He was really clutch when it mattered. I thought Medvedev was playing well especially in the 3rd set and Rinder was struggling to hold serve but he always came up with the goods when it truly mattered. It felt like it was destiny for the cousin vs cousin final. And seriously the way Rinderknech was volleying tonight and using his variety and droppers to disrupts medvedev rhythm was impressive. Great tactics and execution and turned up the goods when it mattered. I thought his FH while is a solid shot wasn’t as good as it was with FAA and he was leaking more errors with it. Nonetheless his compact stroke and taking the ball early with it still gave Medvedev fits.

What a story. This final is wonderful and I’m so moved by this picture below:

Rinderknech was the more aggressive and entertaining player. But he made a lot of bad errors. The first and third set were Medvedev's for the taking. I am not sure what match you watched.
