Yes, quite possibly. On the other hand, it's sometimes the case that a strong prevailing narrative can sweep everything along in its wake. Memories can unconsciously become selective, journalists can ask leading questions, etc. It's not uncommon for people who experience extraordinary events to say things after the event like, 'I had a feeling when I woke up that morning that something was going to happen.' Sometimes it's an event they can reasonably have some influence over, but other times it's a chance occurrence like winning the jackpot in a lottery.

Anyway, I didn't mean to come across as a Doubting Thomas. It's a great story, one of the best of the season, and I'm very happy for Vacherot and his girlfriend.

Insane how close he is to actually losing with Vacherot apparently returning a 1st serve and volley point (similar pass against Rune in their TB I assume) to get the minibreak. Draxl felt the level was great and believed Vacherot could win some matches after.

Really wish Vacherot keeps up this clutchness because big hitters usually struggle to keep focus I notice.
