Seems like Rafa's next event will be Indian Wells, not sure about 3/3/24 exhibition against Chuck!!

I have had some discomfort in recent weeks and I am a little bit on the limit. At this point every blow I take, every injury, is a setback not only in tennis and physically, but also mentally. I trust 100% to be in Indian Wells, it is a very special tournament for me. I don't know if it will be the last time I am going to play it, so I would like to be in Indian Wells, for sure.” “I would love to be in Doha, but I will see the decision for Doha more at the last minute. I will travel to Indian Wells if there is nothing wrong, for sure." “My priority goal, which is what I said from the beginning, is to get to the clay season as healthy as possible. I want to try to give myself the option to enjoy the clay season.”

Good. Don't play it. Skip the sunshine double also. Come back on clay like a bull. Win RG and retire on the spot like a boss.

OUT

I would have loved to play in Doha, where the tournament team, as well as the amazing Qatar fans have always supported me greatly. Unfortunately I am not ready to compete and I won’t be able to come to Doha where I really wanted to be and play again after that unforgettable win in 2014. I will focus on keep working to be ready for the exhibition in Las Vegas and the amazing Indian Wells tournament

This dude is getting me crazy. Not easy to be his fan. Just run a bit, hit a bit, lift a bit, eat good and go even on a whelchair to say goodbye in a decent way to the fans in the two big events held in Paris this year.
Do you suggest Nadal should play Paris indoors masters this year?

Truly don't get why he'd play HC, especially if this really is his last year (which I don't dare believe just yet)
Who said that?

The interview of him in the third biggest private TV of Spain just ended now. It must have been recorded 1 or 2 weeks ago. They never really mentioned Doha during it.

He said he wanted to play Indian Wells as a very special tournament that it is and then RG-Olympics is the ultimate goal.

The interview was juicy about Saudi Arabia, feminism, his trophy and kid and that stuff not so much tennis oriented.

2021 Rogie wasn't great overall, but at nearly 40 he still made the Wimbledon QF!! However, 2020-2022 Rogie was mostly absent or when present, he was ineffective... Rogie's last hurrah was 2019, winning Basel over ADM was huge in retrospect!!

It's over - just like the scene in Top Gun when Maverick drove past Charlie's house and saw the 'For Rent' sign
... He got to bang her first... and she then came back to him in the final scene.
He's winning nothing my friend

He will play a last clay season, lose RG, lose Olympics, and that is that

It is sad but it is very similar to Fed 2021
and what about the WTF? How will he fare there lol

The clay season is gruelling, and he will be ripe for the picking in Paris. I can’t see him grinding his way through 7 matches at RG against the likes of Sinner, well over a decade younger than him. Some are forgetting it’ll be over a year since he played a slam.

I was surprised he registered to play in Qatar in the first place. Not one of his strong hard court tournaments. Playing Acapulco as a first hard court tournament would've made more sense for him.
Looks like he's going to play mainly on clay in his last season.
