Wimbledon has a day off on Sunday, so that allows for this to happen.
But surely some common sense should prevail elsewhere?

Almost 48 hours of a guaranteed resting period for the second finalist at AO is a much better scenario than playing RG SF/F combo for three days in a row, as e.g. Thiem and Djokovic vs fresh Nadal and Wawrinka, on physically most demanding surface, in the middle of the season when players are not as fresh as at AO.

So, let them first forbid less than 36 hours resting period for the finalist at any slam in the case of rain, wind etc.
