Meddy should have win that in 2...leads a set and a break. Still far away from his best. Sad and hard to watch.

This guy played some of the best hard court tennis at that time - it was his peak. Now he is in decline - this is the usual nature of things.Djokovic lost this guy the match for CYGS
Dear GOD.
Actually he didn't do anything special in that USO final, Novak lost it himself with too many uncharacteristic UEs cuz he was really feeling the pressure. He just happened to be in the right place at the right time and was lucky that there was so much on line for Novak in that match. This guy played some of the best hard court tennis at that time - it was his peak. Eons ago, in another tennis universe...Djokovic lost this guy the match for CYGS
Dear GOD.
Novak was plain bad in that final but saying Med didn't do anything special is pure BS.Actually he didn't do anything special in that USO final, Novak lost it himself with too many uncharacteristic UEs cuz he was really feeling the pressure. There is no universe or era where Djokovic has any business losing the match for CYGS to any version of MedvedevEons ago, in another tennis universe...
It's not BS, all he had to do was keep the ball in play and Novak was making all the mistakes. Even Zverev would have beaten that version of Djokovic in the final.Novak was plain bad in that final but saying Med didn't do anything special is pure BS.
He was in his peak form in that period&tournament, serving like a monster and not missing off the ground at all.
Anyway, this season has turned quite catastrophic for him so far and the fact he hasn't won any titles in 28 months is pretty crazy. I think he can still improve slightly and comes back to around #8-#12 range but I very much doubt he can make slam SF and/or top 5 ranking again.
