Indoors, Djokovic is playing six kings and Athens. I doubt he'll play Paris or ATP Finals.

Djokovic also played last year (lost to Sinner in the final). If Shelton doesn't recover from his injury by Paris, Djokovic has a decent chance of getting #4 at AO with a good result at Shanghai. Only Fritz, imo, has an outside chance of getting it (and really, I don't think he deserves it after his loss against Djokovic at USO).
No chance... he'll be in Athens practicing whilst that tournament is on.. and miscellaneous other reasons why he'd skip it regardless.

Turin? Yeah, most likely skip that too.

Of course he won't at this point cuz he signed up for Shanghai, I'm saying it makes more sense for him to have played Paris and/or ATP finals instead of Shanghai, esp since Shanghai is 2 weeks and the other 2 are 1 week which he prefers

He's already comitted to Athens (maybe even done as part of the deal to move it from Belgrade, as I believe that his brother owns the rights to that tournament) which happens the week after Paris and the week before the ATP finals. It's a family thing, and he'll probably do press and stuff. Maybe he would've played without it.

As I suspected, he will do Shanghai to get some matches to peak for 6 Kings Slam

It is a slam after all

Then will surely skip Bercy and play Athens

Basel/Vienna of course not as it is only a few days after 6 Kings Slam

Since he is not playing Davis Cup, I have not given up on Turin, though it is 50-50 at best

lol 6 kings slam is played indoors, not outdoors - it will be completely difference conditions and he doesn't need any preparation for an exhibition event anyways

Johnny edgelording again :)

Like I said before if he plays Turin that could be a sign that he's saying goodbye.Might be wrong though.

He realises the Number 4 ranking is futile when he just bumps into Sinneraz in the semi's anyway... so why bother.

Turin is also too close if he gets to the semi's/finals of Athens and won't want to play immediately thereafter.

It's a mistake in my opinion. Djokovic should focus on Paris indoors masters at this part of the season, it's his best shot in winning a Big Title.
I'll still cheer for him in Shanghai anyway.

Do you think that the tournaments he plays like in Shanghai has anything to do with sporting reasons?
He doesn't really care at this point about rankings or winning Big Titles outside of Slams.
It all has to do with money and sponsorship.Last year after the Us Open he was pretty much done with the season but he still played in Shanghai;so we know that his big sponsors have a big say why he plays this event.

His big sponsors NEVER had a say!!!!
His previous agent said he only signs contracts he likes(didn't sign plenty of contracts ,because he didn't like some of the companies)
For years he was Seiko,Uniqlo and currently Asics ambassador, and he NEVER played in Japan(outside the time he prepared for olympics court)
He is also Head ambassador and never plays in Austria.
Learn the facts, unlike all the minions he will never sign contract where the company controlls him.
