A convincing win from the world #2 against an opponent for whom this was the first final on the actual ATP Tour (Next Gen finals don't count here). Like I said yesterday, Tien doesn't have the game to play against an opponent who can utilise the power of strokes, moves well, and doesn't waste time by extending rallies. Sinner had an easy job to do, and he didn't refuse to take this chance.

It's the second Beijing title for Sinner in his career, and the 21st title overall. He also adds 170 (I think) more points to the race, and narrows Alca's lead on top to 490 points. The race for the year-end world #1 gets at least slightly more interesting.

2015 China Open final: Djokovic beats OrigiNadal 6-2 6-2 as the receiver.

2025 China Open final: Sinner (aka Djokovic 2.0) beats the new Nadal 6-2 6-2 as the receiver.

I'm slightly surprised Sinner didn't open his bakery today, but maybe he thought he wouldn't have lots of customers in China today. A good week for the new Nadal as well, he'll probably win an ATP title somewhen within the next 52 weeks.

P.S. I hope @Federinka enjoyed the final.

This is a 2 man tour. Someone would have the opportunity to win a slam next year and one of them has to take it. I predict it would be Ben Shelton.
I don't think so and neither did you at the start of this season.
Could be make or break for Shelton. If you can't beat a slamless 38 year old then you likely aren't cut out for winning slams.

Tien has a lot of potential, he started poorly and made too many errors. He needs a stronger serve to trouble the likes of Sinner. I do think there are a handful of players with the game to make life more difficult for Sinner other than Alcaraz but none at the moment with the confidence and belief. Hopefully that will change soon

Sinner finally wins a non slam title this year XD.
3rd title of the year (out of 7 finals), 21 titles overall. He should comfortably win the Shanghai masters now.
