I have serious doubts about this, Federer has A LOT more topspin on his forehand that that and you would really have to be new to tennis to believe that.

 

IIIRC he hits like ~2900RPM on the forehand side, but the data is just for 2021 so he might have played somehat differently last year?

 

It has more correlation with success on clay and non-clay than playing style (offensive or defensive).

 

Hardly a surprise Medvedev sucks on clay.

And before Sock, it was Andreev who had higher top spin than Nadal.

Nadal fans thinks he has the far more top spin than other players when it obviously not true. Partially it's bias, but also Nadal's whole shtick is acting like a warrior and part of that is making it appear he's putting in more effort than he actually is. It wins him matches and also fans who have fallen for it.
