Hey guys,

I was wondering what think the community about this 12-days master now almost in all M1000 (except MC & Paris). I understood the concept to extend draws and allow more rest.
but I am still a bit sceptical if it is good as it s created low pace especially like today when QF are split in both days - the daily schedule is quite poor.
on the other part, it allows probably more rest for players that could not stand a full week playing all day (thinking of a qualified vacherot for instance that would have suffered).
but for the show I am not convinced of those long tournaments in which the final rounds are arriving really slowly.
Opinion? Thinking ?

It makes me tired. The initial idea was that there were less matches on day 1 so you could watch more and of course have more spectators live when you 12 days compared to 7 or 8.
But also a big reason was, that they thought there will be less injuries, walk overs and mid-match retirements. This is not the case so far. So I am still unsure about the whole thing.
It is also irritating sometimes: For instance, today, I was sure there will be all four quarterfinals. I was totally surprised not to see Medvedev and FAA today.

Terrible, not only cuz tournaments gets dragged on too long, but even worse because it takes away plenty of weeks from ATP 250 events that used to be held but now aren't because of this format, giving everyone outside the top 10 fewer opportunities to win titles than before.
