Nakashima played like a solid top 30 player at least in first 2 sets. He was beating Zverev off the ground and Zverev’s serve is what saved him at first. He dropped off a lot tho after set 2.

Also he proved he's just another mental midget when he blew a 5-1 lead in 2nd set tie break. "Huge talent"? Laughable. Against most solid players, Zverev would have gone to 5 sets, probably lost eventually.

about 200 other guys can play like this on a good day. Nakashima did nothing special and in the end it simply wasn’t enough. How many times have we seen Someone keep up with a top-10-guy for a set or two only to get eventually destroyed anyway? There’s a reason He’s ranked so low.Still it was a decent tournament and a foundation to build on but he’s not the next big thing

Zverev was rock solid from the baseline and hit numerous penetrating shots incl. big forehands against an inspired opponent who returned incredibly well.
