After losing to the Czech in the 3rd round of the US Open last year, 6-1 in the 5th, Youzhny comes out on top this time in a thriller! A lot of people underestimated him in this match.

Next up for Youzhny is Monfils, the winner to (probably) face Roddick in the quarters. Keep it up!

Youzhny actually won 9% more return points but was the player to never break in this match, whereas Berdych obviously broke once in the first set. Youzhny had 4 break points in the first two sets but never converted. However, his first serve percentage was in the 60's for most of the match and he won 88% of those first serve points. 6 doubles from Berdych really hurt him.
