I was wondering if there is a list of youngest players to participate in a Grand Slam without having a WC in the Open Era. Could Carlos Alcaraz become one of the youngest in that list if he wins tomorrow or even qualifies as LL?

Yeah Lleyton and Chang are my initial thoughts.

Lleyton was 15yo 10 months when he got a WC into ‘97 AO Quals, so not a MD wildcard. He won all 3 matches in qualifying, in straights with breadsticks in each. Given Chang got a main draw wildcard in his first two slams and then was ranked okay, Hewitt has him covered here for young slam qualifiers.
