Djokovic vs. Nieminen/Giraldo vs. Nishikori is your two men matches on Center Court

Just have Djokovic in the final already  What's to look for here other than Kyrgios-Roanic servefest?

Not sure why Nishikori is on centre court, mind you. Wawrinka as FO champion should have been on there. It's not like Giraldo is going to upset Kei.

Tough to compete with such all-time classics as Federer vs Dzumhur and Murray vs Kukushkin, provided by the thrilling bottom half.

Stan had Centre in the 1R. It's not a big deal that he's on Court 1 for the second round.

I was actually expecting Goffin-Broady to get Centre tomorrow, or perhaps Raonic-Haas, but Nishikori's not a bad choice. He was a match away from getting the #4 seed, and he has lots of fans.

Sorry I thought Bolelli v Nishikori was on centre court which begs the question why wan't it!

The potential is way better deep in the tournament.. starting with likely Murray-Tsonga R4, which could a semifinal a couple years ago....

Because Stan was the French Open champion and the #4 seed, I'm guessing? I was expecting Bolelli-Nishikori as well, but that wasn't the call the Wimbledon organisers made.

Most of the toffs in the crowd have probably never heard of Nishikori. Was funny at RG hearing Inverdale talk about him as if he was some unknown exotic player.

The top half could have Cilic vs Nishikori in R4, that was a Slam final matchup 9 months ago. Wawrinka vs Dimitrov/Gasquet and Raonic vs Kyrgios possible matchups too.

QF: Djokovic vs Cilic (two of the three players currently holding a Slam) or Djokovic vs Nishikori (reedition of USO SF last year where Nishikori won).

Raonic-Grassi, the winner against Kyrgios, then the winner against Dimitrov. Cilic-Isner, Wawrinka-Verdasco, Dimitrov-Gasquet, Nishikori-Cilic, even Djokovic-Tomic. And that's all before QF.

The second half has: Tsonga-Murray, Nadal-Brown, Nadal-Troicki, Berdych.Mahut, Tsonga-Dolgopolov/Karlovic. It's not much better even if it is.

Centre court matches in the first couple of rounds are rarely interesting, and even more rarely appear interesting on paper before the match starts.

The degree of competitivity and pedigree of actors is vastly inferior in the Top half: It is Djokovic to lose by a big margin..Nishikori is hobbled and on his worst surface, Dimitrov out of form, Roanic still recovering, Cilic is flash in the pan if you haven't already noticed, Wawrinka is a career grass mug of sort..You can't compare here..Federer/Murray/Berdych/Tsonga and even Nadal are not that separated by much when it comes to chances at coming out of it..

All of the three current Slam holders are in the top half. ;) Top half wins, 4-0.

Still can't believe Murray is touted as a main draw. People actually pay to see that snooze fest? My eyes bleed everyone I have to set sight on that ignominy
He's a Wimbledon champion, a Brit, and good on grass. Dude.

Yep, but everybody is just talking about possible 4R Flopez-Olderer encounter, don't they.

Last Wimb. both Federer and Nadal should've played "blockbusters" against players that never made it past 2R at Wimbledon, all the way till QF !!! in fact till projected Fedal' SF, because even their opponents in projected QF, Wawrinka and Raonic, never made it past 2R 2010-2013.

Damn you Nishi, you should've made it to no.4 instead of Stan, so that Fedal, you and Ferrer are in the same half (withdrawing also as Ferrer before 2R or 3R), and Djok/Murray/Stan/Cilic/Berdych/Sugarpov & co. in the other boring snoozefest half like the last Wimb.
