I thought Nadaltards were proud of Nadal's longevity in winning GS titles X years in a row. Or does longevity only count when it's in his advantage, as per usual? The whole defending titles concept is utterly ridiculous. It's about WINNING titles not defending them the next year.
No, it is not.The whole defending titles concept is utterly ridiculous. It's about WINNING titles not defending them the next year.
Say what you want but it is more than a little surprising that Nadal hasn't done it till now...not even in a 250 outside clay. Djokovic has done it on indoor HC and outdoor HC...Federer's done it on grass, HC, clay..indoors and outdoors and he nearly did it on even carpet. The whole defending titles concept is utterly ridiculous. It's about WINNING titles not defending them the next year.
Yet another anti-Nadal thread by someone who was a Nadal fanatic one month ago. :lol:I know it's seen as unimportant by a fair few but it's definitely a little odd that time and time again he doesn't manage to defend titles outside of clay..even 250s.
So if Djokovic never defends a title on clay that will hurt his legacy? I don't think so.What kindof a GOAT candidate can't defend a single HC title when HCs are the majority? Not even on slow HCs. This is why he's seen as an overachieving glorified dirtballer.
Clay is a minority surface. So if Djokovic never defends a title on clay that will hurt his legacy? I don't think so.
1)Djokovic is not a GOAT contender and likely never will be.So if Djokovic never defends a title on clay that will hurt his legacy? I don't think so.
Good post. Also, Nadal's been a total roadblock on clay, so it's a bit naive to blame Fed/Nole to not defend a title off clay. Hopefully Nole defends Rome this year.1)Djokovic is not a GOAT contender and likely never will be.
2)Djokovic has at least done it both indoors and outdoors. With Nadal it's just outdoors and that on clay.
3)Nadal's won way more titles than Djokovic.
1)Mono Fedwho cares? He has 5 slams outside of clay.
