Roger Federer extended his time as the top-ranked tennis player to 81 weeks Monday, lifting him to seventh on the men's career list. Federer became No. 1 on Feb. 2, 2004 after winning the Australian Open. He's surpassed the 80 weeks that Australia's Lleyton Hewitt spent in the top spot for all but two weeks between November 2001 and June 2003.
