Top-seeded Ekaterina Bychkova rallied to beat fellow Russian Evgeniya Rodina 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 Friday to advance to the semifinals of the Tashkent Open. The 443rd-ranked Rodina broke her opponent in the seventh game of the first set to take the lead, before Bychkova, ranked 72nd, won four straight games in the second set and didn't her 16-year-old opponent back into the match.
