Nando is defending QF points in New York this season, last year after the French he really struggled, but found form at the USO, and won the thrilling 7-6 in the fifth five setter over Ferrer in R4.

Nieminen has had rough draws and hasn't won a GS match this season. H2H is 2-2 but they haven't played since 2008. Who do you think takes this? Both have had up and down seasons and could really use a win here.

I originally thought Nieminen would win, but now I'm pretty certain in a straight-sets win for Nando. I don't expect Nando to completely fuck this up, he usually brings a better level in the slams.

Nieminen is a good player, which means Verdasco will lose. He sucks lately. I voted for Nieminen in 4.

Given Verdasco's sometimes iffy form this year, Jarkko might take this. Nando is the favorite though. Poor draws for Jarkko at all Grand Slams this year.
