The Fog with an already great week defeating Rublev, Simon, Zverev and Coric.

But it will be enough to defeat Rafa at his second best castle ? :music:

Nadal has won their last 6 meetings.

H2H : 11-3 Nadal
Clay H2H : 6-2 Nadal

If Fog is healthy, there's nobody stopping him here.

If Fognini has ever had a more than good chance to defeat Nadal, then it is now.
His other 2 clay wins came in Nadal's worst year on the surface.
Of course current Nadal is (way) better than that, but Fognini might be bit more of a shotmaker if he has the belief.
The match will be on his racket, if he plays aggressively.

What a blockbuster! Obviously it's on Trollini's racquet: the outcome depends on his decision to save energy (or not) for a night with Flavia. He usually chooses the former option so Nadal will probably get lucky again. Still Fog should care (and crush Nadal) in at least a few games.

FABIO in 2, I BELIEVE.
I'll believe with you. Hopefully this match will deliver. But won't be surprised if he eats two bread sticks either. It's Nadal in France (I know, nobody be a dickhead about it) on clay after all.

Nadal of course.
I like Fog and i remember a tough contest in Rome (was it last year) but Fog hasn't won since Nadal was in his slump.

always a very entertaining, exciting matchup.

It will be tough to recover for Fogna. You could see how much his elbow was hurting him on and off during the match with Coric.
It wouldn't surprise me if he handed RAFA a walkover. But who knows?

In that 3rd set though, after the toilet break between sets, he toyed with the 9th seeded Coric, to a point where Coric could only laugh and smile at the end. What a talent!

Take some painkillers and let's see what happens tomorrow.

Respectfully,
masterclass

Fognini is the most disgusting player in the tour, even if I weren't a Rafa fan I'd root hard for him to crush Fognini. Hopefully, Rafa will do the job.

Thiem, Fog, and Novak are the only players capable of beating Rafa on clay. 2 are already gone. So this is the de facto Final.
