H2H is 1-1, with both matches coming last season. Malisse won 7-6 7-5 in Indian Wells, before Tsonga came back to win in three sets at Vienna in the QF. X-Man has looked a different player this season, and not in a good way, but has begun to start winning some matches. Tsonga is coming off an ugly loss to Nalbandian in Indian Wells last week, but has twice made the QF in Miami, whereas Malisse has generally been unimpressive at this event.
Based on the form of each this season, most would expect a walk in the park for Jo. But the H2H and knowing Malisse's pattern of playing up to his competition tells me otherwise. I expect it to be a lot closer than most thing, somewhere along the lines of 7-6 7-5 for Tsonga. Can X-Man pull off the upset here? Vote up!
