I wonder if Tipsy was training and expecting to play. If so this one gonna be close.
:haha:In a relaxed group interview with the Sky team, King Leonidas said he was working hard and training as if he were an automatic entry. So yeah, he was expecting to play so was doing what he normally does before matches - partying and gettin' high.
Apparently he needs Ferrer to go 3-0, since if Novak goes 3-0 it means he lost to him and that would be pointless.can he only make it if ferru or djoko go 3-0?
yeshe just receives murray's 0-1 record?
That would suck big time, but we all know how it is with BerdBrain... :help:Apparently he needs Ferrer to go 3-0, since if Novak goes 3-0 it means he lost to him and that would be pointless.
Scary thought. But all Tipsy needs to worry about are the simple things.. beating Berdych
I'd be very, VERY surprised if he even came near to doing so. No chance in hell imho.and Djokovic in a row.
No. He's starting at 0-0 like all the others, but only gets to play two matches. He'll end up with 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2. If he wins both matches and Ferrer beats Djokovic and Berdych, he'll go to the semis:he just receives murray's 0-1 record?
Wrong, 2-1 > 2-0. Therefore, he can move on if he goes 2-0 and Ferrer 3-0 OR if he goes 2-0 and Ferrer loses to Djokovic and BerdychNo. He's starting at 0-0 like all the others, but only gets to play two matches. He'll end up with 2-0, 1-1, or 0-2. If he wins both matches and Ferrer beats Djokovic and Berdych, he'll go to the semis:
Ferrer: 3-0
Tipsy: 2-0
Djok: 1-2
Berdych: 0-3
If he wins both, but Djokovic beats Ferrer and Ferrer beats Berdych, it will go to a percentage of sets won. He'll still get through because he'll always have a better set percentage than Djokovic. If he wins at least one of them in straights, he'll top the group.
Tipsy: 2-0 set: 4/4, 4/5, or 4/6
Ferrer: 2-1 set: 5/7, 4/6, 5/8, or 4/7
Djokovic: 2-1 set: 5/8, 4/7, 5/9, or 4/8
Berdych: 0-3
All other scenarios in which Tipsy wins both matches have him topping the group.
If Ferrer beats Berdych, Ferrer moves on.Basically if Tipsy wins today he has huge chances to go to semis. Nole most likely will win against Ferrer in 2. So they can "fix" their last meeting. Tipsy beats Nole in 3 = Nole 1st place in the group, Janko 4-2(if beats Berdych in 3), Ferrer the same 4-2 (if also beats Berdych in 2, not very likely). Who would proceed when as second place?
