Nalbandian is a MUCH, MUCH better player than Nadal, he's just not as successul.

JMDP is a threat to absolutely anyone including himself.

Spain are giants, but Argentina will win.

Re: DC Final: Spain versus Argentina. WWW?

Argentina has about 0% chance of winning this.

Chances of Nadal losing at home on Davis Cup on slow clay against Nalbandian or Del Potro are about zero. Chances of Argentina winning a doubles rubber against any combination of Nadal/Robredo/M.Lopez/Granollers/Marrero/F.Lopez/Verdasco are also close to zero. Chances of Ferrer losing both rubbers on slow clay at home against Nalbandian and Del Potro are also close to zero.

EDIT: Before someone starts wanking in here about Nalbandian's Davis Cup record, Nadal has a better Davis Cup record than him (17-1 vs 22-5).

I think he should skip the tie in order to make up for the fact that the Argentinans prevented him of having to play against Novak again in the final :p

;)

Spain is the huge favorite, especially considering the fact that they play at home and can choose the surface.

It would be great for Argentina to win this DC title they so badly want but everything depends on the fact if Rafa is going to play. When Rafa plays on clay 2 points are nearly always guaranteed and Ferrer on clay is also not someone anyone would like to play against.

Argentina's best chance of winning the doubles rubber is bringing Dulko to play with Chela, by the way!

Not only they will be facing a rested Nadal on slow clay in Spain, as Argentina is one of the most hopeless nations in the whole World Group in terms of the doubles rubber. They are more than toasted.

Hard to see Argentina scoring here, if it were on HC, they'd have a good chance, but on clay they can only win the doubles match

Too bad it's in Spain. Would have been a really interesting final otherwise. Unless Nadal is injured, it's hard to see Argentina beating Spain on slow clay.

How? With Chela and Schwank? Any decent Spanish doubles team would beat them comfortably.

The only point I can see Spain losing is Ferrer's 1st match and I'm not sure Nalbandian can beat him on a really slow surface. Ferrer will probably just take advantage of his physical edge and eventually outgrind him anyway.

How? By making the Spanish guys laugh their asses off at his poor volleys? His performance at the US Open Mixed Doubles final was embarrassing. Poor Dulko had to carry the team and still Schwank was able to screw two ridiculously easy volleys to make them lose the super tie-break against Jack Sock and Melanie Oudin!
