After a tricky start against an inspired Souza, today Kenny routined Martín Alund, who was having an awful season but did a good job in Bordeaux, making it through the qualies and hammering Maximo Gonzalez in 1st round, who was in a very good form since his W/L record until Bordeaux of 7-1 (winning Santos CH). That shows that Alund was not an easy rival, plus is always a motivation to play against legends of the game like Kenny. Anyway, today Martín didn't have any chance. Kenny decided to go all the way and finish the match in two. He kinda choked a little bit when he was serving for 5-2 in the 1st set, but he took the match to the TB, where he is a beast due to his mental abilities. The stats of today prove again that Kenny is no longer an all-serve player (and, again, I say that this has been noticed by unbiased analysts of the game since some weeks ago), and I bet you to watch the full match or 2 minutes of it from a random moment of the video to witness his gorgeous backhand. You can watch the full match here: http://new.livestream.com/ATP/Bordeaux2014CentreCourt/videos/50948544 Look at the titanic fight that two boys had when de Schepper threw them his wristband after finishing the match. Both of them fought with more intensity than if it was from Federer or Nadal. Finally, a third boy took it when the winner of the battle threw it unintentionally to another box of the crowd when he was celebrating his feat.

Now time to think about the quarterfinals match, where he meets Malek Jaziri. Jaziri had decents result in the ATP of Dubai but lately it looks like he is not in a great shape. But against de Schepper all the rivals play the matches of their lifes, so even if Jaziri was breadsticked on clay today by Olivetti of all people (a very well-known all-serve player) we have to count that Jaziri will play one of the best matches of his season on Friday. He bagelled Pella in the 1st round after all. After facing two clay court specialists, now Kenny has proven that he has mastered this surface. Jaziri is not that good on clay, so he should have a good shot to win and make it through the semifinals. Bad news for Benneteau or Vesely, who will likely play against him.

No matches between them in the past. I would be generous and I will say that Kenny de Schepper should win in 3 sets. The Roland Garros dark horse marches on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KSOMA3QBU0

Remember, this blockbuster will be available on Friday in ATP Livestream, time not confirmed yet.

Indeed, legendary stuff. These three kids know that they could live their whole lifes without working with the benefits of selling that wristband on Ebay after de Schepper wins Roland Garros 2014 defeating Nadal, Djokovic and Federer back to back in QF, SF and F.

for all of King Kenny's sizable aura, it was a relatively even 7-6(5), 6-4 - Marty had chances at 5-5 in the first, and two breaks points to square up the second at 4 all. routining cannot be found.
Indeed it was, I was full of excitement and joy while writing it and I went too far. Let's say that Kenny semi-routined him then

Good choice mate ;)

Kenny to double bagel that mug...
I won't be the one that arguments against your unbiased thoughts, looks like a bold prediction ;)

de Schepper in signature cannot be found :confused:
he's a gloryhunter :secret:
Yeah, great that both of you guys noticed that Kenny is not in my signature. I spent like three nights thinking about it, but I finally came to the conclusion that mixing De Schepper with the other mugs of my signature does not show him the respect that he deserves. For me Kenny is like a superior human being, it is kinda insolent to use his game to promote my profile. If I had his name in my signature I would associate his name with every one of my messages, which is not fair. De Schepper's name should be written in a random message when I am talking in the NT forum about, let's say, which songs I like the most. It is a matter of respect, I only name him where he deserves to be named: threads about baseline players, about greatest players in practices, about Roland Garros dark horses, about who is gonna be the new #1, etc.

I am sure you will understand my point of view :)

And about the gloryhunting accusations, I have to say that it is a little bit true mate  I started supporting him after I had the privilege to watch him play on live in Barcelona, where he came as the prestigious Cherbourg champion.
