I watched Johnson peak against Medvedev live. He is not even half the man he once was.

This match will be far closer than people in this thread think. Steve is in good form. Last time they played was in 2017 when Fed was in excellent form at Indian Wells, and Fed won 2 TBs to win the match

Always easy to look good in challengers against a bunch of no names (except travaglia and he ain’t no Titan either)

Johnson was terrible in 2019, he has regressed since 2017

Otoh Federer also regressed since 2017. Sure, he enters as clear favourite, but if he is rusty and Steve finds his serve, this might not be so one sided as most think.
Federer's regression is still good enough to be number three in the world.

Same cant be said for Steve.

The thing is Federer could be 40 and still routine most of the tour..... Steve included.
