Unfortunately, the draw gods have not seen fit to give us these style contrasting matches that most tennis fans love often enough.
Their H2H record is only 1-1 (not including a qualifying match at 2005 Madrid (hc) won 6-4, 6-4 by Karlovic over 18 year old Djokovic).
So Dr. Ivo is "unbeaten" in their rivalry on hard court and No1e is "unbeaten" on clay.
Now it's over 6 years later...and obviously not much has changed...
Their last 3 of 4 sets produced tiebreakers, Karlovic winning 2 of the 3.
What do you see happening in Doha between them?
It seems to me that Karlovic will have to serve lights out to beat Djokovic at this time in their careers, but stranger things have happened. I can't count Dr. Ivo out with his rockets, wicked slices, and huge wingspan attacking volleys.
Respectfully,
masterclass
