There was a thread somewhere about the great rivalries of tennis and at 20+ matches I remember all matches involved atleast one great champion, but mostly two great champions. Slam winners, legends.

Now, this generation is going on so long that we have Verdasco vs Ferrer included in those great rivalries. Just passed Edberg-Wilander, Ivanisevic-Sampras and Becker-Sampras, equalled Courier-Sampras.....

Exactly! I must have watched them play sometime, but the event was utterly forgettable. Dont remember what this matchup was like.

Their USO 2010 match was pretty epic.

Also their SF at Roma is still in my mind. Verdasco was on fire that year (just won Barcelona) but ran out of gas in that match.
Actually, great turn around in this rivalry. Ferrer couldn't handle Nando's game. Verdasco led 7-4 and now it is 7-12. I remember a thread about those kind of rivalries, this would've been a good one to pick.
