I don't know what novak wants, but I wouldn't want to trade this. What he did is a unique achievement, if novak never wins gold, so be it, but what he did is stuning and very satisfying.

The great thing about the Olympics moved to next year AND him bagging his double career masters at Cincy is that it gives him complete freedom to go full assault at the Olympics now and not worry about Cincy from now on since the Olympics was around that particular time.

Probably. I'm not 100% sure about both, but there's no doubt he'd trade at least one of them.
Olympics are irrelevant for global sports that are able to organise major events themselves.
It's important for sports like archery, BMX, fencing, curling and speed skating. Every four years these sports get more attention, because they are part of the same event that benefits from the commercial success of global sports.

Double Career Golden Masters is above everything else, so of course not.
The olympic gold is an overhyped achievement, it depends on too many factors to be considered a must have title, a player has only 2 or 3 times in his professional life. Let´s say a player is the undisputed GOAT but had health issues in that particular year, 1 single event in 4 years, or let´s say during the player´s active career the olympic was boycotted by half the olympic nations, or there´s something happening just that particular year, is it fair to use that missing olimpic gold to discredit the player? I don´t think so.
If it´s there it´s a funny welcomed title, more fore the player´s country than for the player himself, but if it´s not, it doesn´t change much for the player´s legacy

That's what makes it even more valuable. Of course Djokovic would trade his Cincy titles for Olympic Gold. SF loss to Nadal in 08 and R1 loss to Delpo in 2016 Djokovic has consistently said were his most emotional losses of his career. Olympics you only get a couple chances for it. Djoker can win Cincy any year
