So today I was in a lot of pain in my right shin. After a lovely member on here advised me to go to Hospital and check it out as it might be a clot, I found out that it was actually a severe infection in the area that is in pain. This is definitely the worst injury I had in my life as I never broke a bone or fractured one properly.

After my episode in A+E I am wondering what the worst injury you ever obtained was?

Not sure an infection is considered an "injury".

In terms of injuries, an ACL sprain and a concussion, don't know which one is considered more serious. I've been rather fortunate with not getting myself too damaged (knock on wood).

My left arm got broken in 2 different parts when I was 10.

I fell out of a kick scooter and almost broke my head, I was like 11 and I remember a lot of pain and a lot, a lot of blood.
I can still feel that area of my head by touching it, because is still injured in the inside.

Oh, I almost forgot the first one, a brick fell on my head when I was 5 and again I remember pain and blood everywhere.

There are two ways I could go about this:
a) make a brain damage joke.
b) advise you to go see a doctor immediately.

Take you pick.

I mean is still damaged, like there is still the sign of that injury.

at football, fell so badly on mu hand, my middle finger's closest to the palm bone went through the palm........

luckily it only got dislocated and not fractured, but the open wound kept me a couple months off tennis...and it was my last football match.

last year, really severe mouth infection on the back of another illness. I was in pretty awful shape. 180 BPM heart rate. And this is someone with a too low heart rate (low 30s when sleeping) most of the time.

Unrequited love on MTF but the first cut is the deepest. :ras:

Consecutive sprained ankles are a distant second even though I wept like a school girl to the embarrassment of my basketball teammates ("oh gawd whyyyy? whyyyyyy?:bigcry:)--6 week crutches. I didn't really cry...just screamed and rolled around.

Hmm, not sure. I broke both my wrists during football, one time my wrist was broken really awkwardly so they had to put it right before being able to cast it. That definitely was the most painful experience I ever had, but in terms of the injury that affected me the most had to be my ACL tear during a football match. The defender and I both wanted to shoot the ball and we hit the ball at exactly the same time, my knee twisted in a way it really, really shouldn't.

Was out for over half a year and my knee never quite feels as secure as it used to. Both my ankles are fucked as well with a lot of ligament damage in the past, but they feel somewhat stable. After all those injuries I'm quite hesitant to start playing football again (stopped 3 years ago because I was fed up being crippled all the time), but I plan to pick it up again in September.

After 7 dislocations in the span of two years, the doctors recently said, based on an x-ray, that my bone was slowly getting chipped off each time it happened. I need arthroscopic surgery for my right shoulder if I still want to play basketball or else it could potentially become inoperable.

I broke my thumb finger badly when I was trting to climb a fence (because I wanted to pick up a foot ball I sent into the woods, lol) and in the act of climing, I sliped and the only thing that kept me from going down to the floor was my thumb finger, cause it got stucked in one of the wholes of the fence.

I had to get a surgery and they stucked 2 steal sticks in the finger to sustain the correction they did to my thumb, which they removed me 2 weeks later.

I gained the infection through getting my shin kicked by mistake at football.
