As far as I can see, the matchup between Federer at number 1 and Murray at number 12 is the worst draw EVER for a number 1 player.

Sampras had his worst at number 18, Thomas Enqvist in Rome of 1998.

Lendl had Scott who was number 13 at Tokyo Indoors which was a 32 man draw in 1985.

Nice piece of statistics there.

The funny thing is, had Roger got world number 6 we would have thought it to be an easy draw.

Murray is scarier than most of the top 20, because he is one of the few guys Roger has an even h2h with, and hasn't played for over a year and a half.

^ You think 1-1 is relevant "even H2H"? :haha: It only shows that Murray very rarely survives long enough to meet Federer, unlike his peers Djokovic and Gasquet (both have 7 matches with Fed).
