Mikey overcomes 15 DFs to win! The first set he essentially doubled Mannarino in serve points played, a testament he struggled almost all of his service games in the set but took it. In the end he simply competed harder, made fewer errors, and wanted it more. The movement difference was significant also.

Good win and a good summer for Mikey.

Mikey won over 60% of service points, though, because he kept his serve percentage high, so the high DF number didn't hurt him too badly. Mannarino served at 46% and it cost him more in the end.

Mannarino game isn't very suited for hardcourts, it's better for indoors and grass. Moreover he has been injured these last weeks.

Maybe I'm not using the right word but for me hardcourts = outdoors, and Manna game doesn't translate to this surface imo. He will perform better after USO during indoors season.
