ERV served for the match at *5-4 in the third, lost it meekly. But he held on in the end due to being more consistent overall, serving at a higher percentage, and returning better.

Rosol is another big guy with big weapons who doesn't really have a game situated for this surface. A ton of mishits and mistimed shots from him, especially off the forehand.

ERV now plays Roddick in R2, and that match could get interesting if the Frenchman serves well.

Typical Rosol who is afraid to win an ATP match when he has a chance. Like against Andujar, Benneteau, Karlovic...

Rosol the only player not able to take advantage of ERV chokes :D

Also in the 1st tiebreak ERV was leading 5/0 and Rosol came back to 5/4** but finally lost it.
Exactly. Doud usually isn't able to win these close matches due to his faltering nerves.

Great to see him pulling through though :yeah: With a good US Open he can reclaim the brief stay in the Top 100 that he had earlier this year.
