Bob and Mike are huge favorites, but the way Jack and Vasek have been playing(they've upset 3 seeded teams), you have to say they have a puncher's chance.

Never rooted so strongly for the Bryans before this match.

Eerie reminder of Wimbledon 2012(but with lesser number of marathon matches)

Not just 3 seeds teams, but 3 top 8 seeded teams. This is an unbelievable run :worship:

When was the last time that there were 4 North Americans in a Slam Doubles Final?
Last time it happened in each slam:

AO: 1991
RG: 1971
Wimbledon: 1983
USO: 1992

So overall, last time was USO 1992. 22 years ago. At Wimbledon, it was 31 years ago.

If Sock and Pospisil win here they may want to think about teaming up some more...they'd be 9th in the WTF race with this being their only tournament. As it is they currently sit 16th.

Basically every match for the last 4 rounds or so I've expected Vasek/Sock to lose and they've won, and the just straightsetted Step/Paes. So ever though this will be very very tough to beat the Bryans they must be playing really well, they've got a fighters shot here.

If they win they qualify for the WTF even if they don't play a single match more together. (Unless some other team like them wins USO and ends up below 7th and above Posp/Sock in the rankings going into WTF). Nobody seems to remember this rule. It applies for singles also.

Between Milos and Genie, Pospisil really gets no love at home. I really hope he wins this.

BTW where is Nestor at in mixed doubles?

Right..Even the scratch pairing is dangerous and Bob and Mike felt it in 2005 against Moody-Huss...But with the time Bob and Mike experienced enough to pull this through...Touch call IMO

Pospisil and Sock has a chance as the Bryans struggle against first time pairings.
Vasek and Jack have been a breath of fresh air in this tournament and brilliant to watch. Just shows how singles players can play doubles better than most doubles specialists. Unfortunately I don't think they will have enough today and the Bryans will win in 4 sets

It has nothing to do with singles players being able to beat doubles teams when rhey team up and has everything to do with the fact that Vasek and Sock plays a style that is easily transferred to doubles, they are capable of playing that game.

Unlike when Nadal and Nole teamed up and lost to the 19 year old pair of Vasek and Milos like 3 or 4 years ago at Rogers cup

Exactly this. Let's not forget that Sock also has a Grand Slam title in (mixed) doubles.

At the same time, neither guy is very polished, so their run remains surprising.

Pospisil/Sock certainly making a match of it, winning the 1st set TB and taking the 2nd to a (as yet undecided) TB also.
