Surely he has another one left in him? His record at RG is one of the most astonishing feats in sports.

better than 7 tour de france wins for sure.

Nadal will win probably 5 more. There are no young players who can stop him.

9 French Opens and 10 consecutive years to win at least a slam. Astonishing.

10 French Opens are very much possible. His RG record will probably never be broken.

Djokovic seems mentally broken against him in slams. And which of the young players can stop him?

The only chance of him not winning next year is if he gets Soderling'd early on.

its not unthinkable.
Toni Nadal created piggy in a way that he is nearly unbeatable on clay. then they made the clay and other surfaces bounce even higher. then when 'Toni saw how dominant Federer was he trimmed Rafas entire game on beating Federer, especially on Clay.
this is the weakest Clay era ever.
so no, it would be utter failure if Nadal wont win at least 11 RG imo

and that will be the case for the next 5 years at least. Nadal is only 28, he can peak in his 30s like Ferrer.

This. Novak is the only man with the potential. There are no youngsters in the horizon. He will - rather ruefully for someone who prefers more competition in tennis - continue to dominate over the next 4-5 years.

More  to come...

The main thing that can prevent Rafa from winning more RG is his health. Even this year where he wasnt at his best he still managed to win.

As for opponnents. Nole is still the only player that can beat Rafa. Even on clay. Despite this years result Nole has the tools to do it more then anyone else.

Stan? Murray? Federer? Berdych? Ferrer? Kei? Roanic? Gulbis? Maybe those can have a great day and Rafa a really bad day, but realisticly not on clay.

I think Rafa has another 2 or 3 RG in him. He is still hungry and wants more and 17 is so close the drive will continue.
