The chances are running out. Fed was multiple match points from getting there the last 2 years. If it gets that close again will it be third time the charm?

Fed's only "biggest stage" h2h advantage over Nadal is the upcoming Tour Finals and Wimbledon

Rafa's perfect at RG
Rafa's won the only meeting at Melbourne

They have to settle this in NY

What I see, even though Federer is much older than Rafa, still he is winning tournaments. I don't know when was the last time Nadal won a tournament. Roger won a tournament final just the other night. Nadal is good, infact great player, but please wake me up when Nadal wins even 15 grandslams. Let's see the longevity of his success. Talking about US OPen, I believe Roger might be back at no. 2 or maybe no. 1 you never know. Djokovic might just slid away if he is caught up with injuries.

Nadal hasn't stopped winning tournaments. He Barca, Monte Carlo, and of course RG. He just ran into Nole more this year. Neither of them have won a tournament in which they met Nole.

I don't think they'll ever meet in a final. This year was the best chance, but both are on the decline, and unless they end up on the same half or quarter, the chances of them both making the final here are pretty low. Fed's complained about hardcourts in general for the last few years, and Nadal was never a consistent hardcourt player.

Maybe if Fed falls to #5 by this year's USO (incredibly unlikely, especially since Soderling couldn't gather points these past few months) they can meet in the quarters. Maybe in 2013 if both are still playing. Very unlikely that it will happen in 2012, especially with them being guaranteed of being on opposite sides of the draw as long as Murray stays ahead of Fed.

Don't think he will win more than 12-13.

Well Rafa reached the final last 2 years, but Roger failed to Beat Djokovic despite having 2 match points in both 2010 and 2011 semifinals
