I was thinking about all the different types of surfaces such as grass, clay, carpet, etc. I was curious if there will ever be a new kind of surface and if so what are some possibilities ?
I've also said Antartica deserves a tennis tournament so why not have a tournament played on ice there? Will give he penguins some sort of entertainment and also make MonfilsFanatic happy so...
Be cool to see one tournament that is really fast again. Big serves and easy put away volleys certainly do get boring, but it would be nice to see one tournament like this. See if the baseliners can still make the passing shots.
Perhaps some new kid of synthetic material that is cheap, resistant to wear and tear and saves money for organisers.
And a few years down the line, you would have intelligent surfaces and nets and we can do away with line persons and perhaps even the chair umpire.
