tough to say
we all know draws are manipulated, and umpires tooMaybe they will just let the players play and decide in a fair sports contest who becomes the winner...

The only thing manipulated is your mind.we all know draws are manipulated, and umpires too
Wimbledon probably didn't have the power, but I thank the tennis Gods that your avatar hero never won Wimbledon.I didn't know that RG determines who wins and who loses. I thought that they just determine the draw and so far, to my knowledge, the number one and two players have been in different draws. The two favorites have to play seven matches to win it.
But I'm still uncertain how MTF works. Were there many discussions last year regarding Wimbledon not wanting Roger to win another title? This discussion, like many on MTF, seems to be based on an insider joke? Please let us in...
Dominic Thiem will do too.Stan Wawrinka to the rescue.
It’s an easy shot to mock Lendl now but his tenacity to adjust his game and keep coming back and try finally win it in an era of many great grass players was admirable.Wimbledon probably didn't have the power, but I thank the tennis Gods that your avatar hero never won Wimbledon.
Lendl at Wimbledon:
1980 - early humiliating exit.
1981 - early humiliating exit.
1982 - grass is for cows, I won't play Wimbledon.
1983 - Johnny Mac in Semis.
1984 - Jimmy Boy in semis.
1985 - Outplayed by Leconte in R4.
1986 - An 18 year old German teen is too much to bear.
1987 - Crushed by Cash.
1988 - Ups a young German in Semis again.
1989 - Ups a young German in Semis again.
1990 - Outplayed by Edberg in Semis.
1991 - Wow Wheaton to tough to handle in R3.
1992 - Ivanisevic blow in R4.
1993 - Boetsch way too strong in R2.
Lendl's Wimbledon dream shattered forever.
I agree. He even skipped the French Open in 1990 to prepare for Wimbledon and in 1990 he won Queens beating McEnroe and Becker easily to win. It’s an easy shot to mock Lendl now but his tenacity to adjust his game and keep coming back and try finally win it in an era of many great grass players was admirable.
Which brings me to say, Djokovic would never have had 5 Wimbledon in the 80s-90s era. He probably would be like a Lendl losing in SF and Fs to grass court specialists.I agree. The winner of French Open in 1990 - Gomez - said he would be on a beach after the QF if Lendl had participated as he always lost to Lendl in FO.
I just hated Lendl, but only because he beat some of my favorite players when it hurt the most. Since his retirement I actually think he has come across as a great personality with deep tennis insights. Smarter than most ex. players based on interviews.
Wimbledon was faster at that time and in todays conditions Lendl would probably have won the title. Thank God he didn't.
All good....Wimbledon probably didn't have the power, but I thank the tennis Gods that your avatar hero never won Wimbledon.

Then you could say the same about Federers 8 titles. All of them were won on the new slower courts that were used for the first time in 2001.Which brings me to say, Djokovic would never have had 5 Wimbledon in the 80s-90s era. Yes, none of the big 3 would've won that many titles before 00s.Then you could say the same about Federers 8 titles. All of them were won on the new slower courts that were used for the first time in 2001.
Before 2001 he was always knocked out from the tournament in the first round.
