I know that this is your mantra for today chloe but I think this is a legitimate question. Nadal's playing style combined with the fact that he may well play 90-100 singles matches this year could lead to burnout. Like all players who find great success, he needs to cut back on his schedule for next year like Federer did last year. 18-20 tournaments plus Davis Cup should be good enough to challenge for the number 1 spot. This is one of the last few hopes that da hatas have left
Absolutely. I don't think his team dreamed that they could win 9 tournaments and counting in one year this early on in his career. Very few players have ever won that many tournies in one year. When he set his schedule for this year he had no idea how far he was going to go in the required events. He probably also didn't want to let down the events he already signed up for before he was doing quite so well. I'm sure his schedule for next year will be quite different.
