Things that needs to happen:
- Nadal to lose in QF or earlier. (he will be seeded between #6 and #8)
- Dimitrov to reach at least R32 (he will be seeded #10 or #11)

Doubt tennis will be that lucky. Have the samples been stored for the last 10 years?

Highly unlikely, but if he did he would be back before or after Wimbledon, because Dimitrov defends 970 points (Queens + Wimb SF).

Dimitrov can do it if he reaches the Semifinals along with Nadal too, but the most likely scenario is a Nadal QF loss and a couple Dimitrov wins. Given as he'll be 7, that would actually be defending his current ranking.

I wouldn't say it's unlikely.

Nadal would be at 2800 points after clay season would be done. Feli and the rest are all around 2k or so. He'd be vulnerable to early exit and random jumps up the rankings.

This is his last tournament where he'll still have a top 4 ranking. Despite his struggles, he's always had pretty good seeding straight to the SFs. Now he won't have that.

Can't wait for Nole-Rafa in R4 at slams while Papa Fed picks up the remains :haha:

Nadal may even skip Wimbledon/Queen's and after putting everything into defending his French Open title win or lose...come back into the North American swing and get enough points to safely stay inside the top ten. I could even see Nadal playing those Clay court events after Wimbledon to pick up points.
